Website Accessibility Policy
Pasco Sheriff’s Office is committed to meeting the information and communication needs of all citizens. We aim to promote accessibility, diversity and inclusion. Our goal is to provide an accessible and barrier-free environment in our banking locations for our agency and we strive to make our technology accessible and continuously work on accessibility improvements to our website. These efforts are based on the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level A and Level AA Success Criteria as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium.
We recommend using the most current versions of computer-based assistive technologies applications and browsers. There are easy-to-use controls for adjusting the size and colors of content on a webpage. There are no ideal content size or color combinations for all users. By using the controls provided in browsers, you can personalize the content presentation in your browser. You can also adjust text size, colors, and the size of content.
We do not provide assistive technology applications or browsers. Please visit the individual manufacturer’s site for information about how to obtain them. You also may have access to assistance from local and state agencies or non-profit groups in your area.
Accessibility Accommodations
Screen Reader Applications: Our website is designed to be screen reader friendly. Screen reader users can usually navigate a website using the tab and arrow keys or keyboard shortcuts.
Skip Navigation: Screen reader users can use this option on our website to skip the header and sidebar menus and directly view the main content of any page for ease of use.
ALT Tags in Graphics: Our website graphics have ALT Tags describing the respective images when necessary. This allows persons with physical or technical limitations to collect the information provided by the image.
Color Contrast: The colors and sizes used for text that conveys information throughout the website provide sufficient contrast for most users.
Adjusting Text Size: Your internet browser allows you to change the accessibility setting to adjust the text size.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state and federal laws, we are always working to improve the accessibility of our products and services for members following specific recommendations to continually increase the website’s accessibility in the future.
Pasco Sheriff’s Office has adopted this policy to support our commitment to the accessibility of this website and to citizens with disabilities. Please be aware that our efforts are ongoing.
